Nathan Nichols for Rutherford / Cannon County Circuit Court Judge

Nathan Nichols has dedicated his life and career to protecting our community, standing up for crime victims, and looking out for taxpayers. He spent the majority of his career as an assistant district attorney general handling felony and misdemeanor cases in Rutherford County Circuit Court and also served as Rutherford County’s child sex and physical abuse prosecutor. Now, Nathan wants to continue protecting, helping, and serving the people of Cannon and Rutherford Counties as your next Circuit Court Judge.
During his time as a prosecutor, Nathan chose to specialize in cases involving victims such as homicide, rape, robbery, domestic violence, and child abuse. He worked hard to see that victims were given the respect, compassion and patience they deserved and that those who had harmed them were appropriately punished.

After working as a prosecutor, Nathan Nichols was appointed to serve as Chancery Court Clerk and Special Master. In this role, Nathan has presided over hundreds of cases as a Judge and Special Master spanning civil, criminal and juvenile law.

“The powers of the judiciary should not be abused and exploited to further a political or social agenda. Judges should always remain laser focused on impartially and fairly applying the law and nothing else.” – Nathan Nichols
